Over the years, there have been several stories of how some men abandon their wives at the hospital after their wives deliver babies and they can’t afford the medical bills.
A Facebook user identified as Kola Edokpayi on Saturday, May 12, took to Edo Political Forum’s page to share pictures of a poor okada rider who absconded after his wife delivered triplets.
The man did not just reunite Pius Edobor with his family but he also seized the opportunity to solicit for funds for the family.

His post reads: “Today, the absconded father of the set of triplets, Pius Edobor who is a poor bike rider, his wife (Ugonma Edobor) and triplets paid me a thank you visit from Uromi for raising awareness of their plight on Social Media which have yielded good result financially and materially to some extent. Pius Edobor said he had to abscond temporarily to unknown destination because he had no means of taking care of his children. It took us time to convince him to come back home and take care of the children. Thanks to all my friends, brothers and sisters that have supported the children financially and otherwise, I want to further appeal that we should continue to show the children love by assisting them financially and materially.
