Sometime in September 2017, a gang war broke out between the Okepopo boys and the ‘Onola boys,’ another cultist group, which residents attributed to supremacy battle in the community.

The supremacy battle which lasted for more than a week led to the murder of six persons from both gangs, while valuables worth millions of naira were destroyed during the clash.
