A man has been sentenced to 6 months in jail for smoking Indian hemp in public and for causing a breach of peace in Osun state.
The 41-year-old man, Waidi Adelabu, was sentenced to 6 months in jail for smoking Indian hemp by an Osogbo magistrate court.

NAIJ.com gathered that Adelabu was arrested at Oke Baale area of Osogbo, where he was smoking Indian hemp with impunity.
Elisha Olusegun, the police prosecutor in charge of the case, told the court that Adelabu was caught with two wraps of Indian hemp in his possession apart from the one he was smoking in the public when he was arrested.

The accused pleaded guilty to the charges against him.
Magistrate Olusola Aluko sentenced the accused person to six months imprisonment with an option of N10,000 fine.
Adelabu paid the fine and he was immediately released.
