A Nigerian lady has sparked outrage on social media after she stated that she cannot date a man who earns N100,000 as monthly income. The lady who was identified simply as Curiouscat on Twitter noted that a man who earns N100,000 cannot take care of her.

In a post shared by the young lady on Twitter, she asked women if they can date a man whose monthly incomes is N100,000. In her post, she further revealed that she wouldn’t date someone that earns N100,000 monthly.

Curiouscat expressed that she would not date someone that can barely feed himself, stating that N100,000 monthly income would not even cover the man’s transportation, feeding and house rent.

She wrote: “Can you date a man whose monthly income is 100k and if yes, can I enter your dm? — I can't so don't come close to my DM. Thanks.”

The young lady’s statement on Twitter sparked a controversy on the social media platform with many users criticizing her for her opinion while others told her that she has a right to her preference.
