A lawmaker has accused Nigerian politicians of causing the challenges in the country.
Senator Isah Misau, the chairman of the Senate Committee on Navy, said Nigerian politicians withdraw themselves from the people once elected into office, Daily Trust reports.
Misau while speaking at the inauguration of the Nigerian Navy Military School, Ikot-Ntuen, Oruk Anam local government area, of Akwa Ibom state urged politicians to learn from the military.

He said the Nigerian military works with people irrespective of tribe or religion to attain the country’s oneness and do not care where their personal aides or assistants hail from.
Expressing his appreciation as the chairman of Senate committee of the Nigerian Navy, Misau said one of the many things he hopes for Nigeria is the restoration of education.

Also speaking at the occasion, the chief of Naval staff, Vice Admiral Ibokette Ibas, said the school is the latest collaboration between the state and the Nigerian Navy.
Ibas said the institution is modelled to offer secondary education in a naval environment.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that a 300 level student of Bowen University was rushed to the hospital over attempt to kill herself.
The student, identified as Tolu Mafo drank Hypo - a kind of bleach - after she allegedly spent her school fee partying with friends in Lagos.
Sources within the school said she also spent part of the money on trade fare too.
