Reports surfaced that the couple might have lied about the alleged proposal and how they met on social media. Photos of the newlyweds out on a date days before the alleged proposal date which was on Saturday, December 30, have surfaced.
The photos were shared on Instagram after it was discovered that the two lovebirds had gone on a date on Sunday, December 3.

In an interview with BBC, the couple had claimed that they talked on Facebook for a while and they met each other after planning a date in Enugu. They both claimed the meeting had happened after the man shared his marriage proposal on Facebook.
